Frank graduated in physics at the University of Manchester and then worked as a Medical Physicist at Christie hospital, Manchester. He then went back to the University of Manchester to build and study new pulsed gas lasers for a PhD, thus starting his research career. This continued at the University of Manchester and then the UMIST, Manchester, where he diversified into the fields of fibre optics, optical sensors, spectroscopy, imaging, and data and signal processing. He was senior lecturer in optical instrumentation in the Department of Instrumentation and Analytical Science at UMIST before founding SensAm and becoming one of the directors. |
Krishna graduated at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, with a PhD in olfactory biochemistry. He was appointed lecturer in Instrumentation and Analytical Science at UMIST, Manchester, and is now Professor of Chemoreception at the University of Manchester, School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science. He has been involved in research in chemoreception, crossing disciplines from biological aspects of olfaction to sensor arrays, electronics, signal processing and pattern recognition, and commercial development of artificial olfaction technologies. He developed gas sensor arrays for sensing odours based on conducting polymers that became commercialised by Aromascan plc and is currently a director of Multisensor Systems Ltd. He has over two hundred and fifty publications in the field of chemical sensing |
Janet is a leadership, resilience and business coach. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young she worked in senior management and finance director roles for recognised retailers such as WH Smiths and Littlewoods. She is a leadership development trainer, currently specialising in wellbeing and resilience with a wide range of companies including BAE Systems, Pets at Home, Janssen Pharmaceutical, SME’s and Charities. She also delivers a wide range of finance programmes from introductory sessions up to Directors Development Academies.
Janet works with not-for-profit organisations, currently as a Governor for the Trafford College Group, a Trustee & Treasurer for Home-Start Trafford, Salford & Wigan plus a business mentor with the Manchester Business Growth Hub.
Janet is an accredited practitioner for the Kirros RQi resilience programme plus trained in the Drake P3 behavioural profiling system. She is a member of the Association of Coaching (AOC), the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW). |

Jayne Is a biochemistry graduate with over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working for companies including Janssen UK (part of the Johnson and Johnson group), Quintiles and Evans vaccines (now part of the Chiron group of companies) and also in healthcare communications for the Creative Engagement Group.
Jayne’s extensive career includes roles in leadership, sales and business management, learning and development and change management. She has experience of working across many therapeutic areas, as well as specialist disease areas to bring drugs to market, with accountability for sales, business, and team performance.
Experience in line management gave Jayne a passion for the difference that development and coaching has on higher performance. In 2017 Jayne set up her own coaching and development business specialising in skills development for individuals, leaders, and managers, with further qualifications in resilience training and coaching. Jayne is a certified resilience coach and master-practitioner and mental health first aider. |
Peter has spent the last 40 years working as a community pharmacist in the Stockport and Greater Manchester area.
He has owned four community pharmacies in Stockport and has been an advocate for the community pharmacy profession throughout this period.
As a board member of Greater Manchester Local Pharmaceutical Committee GM LPC) Peter is currently the Locality Lead for Stockport and was previously chairman of Stockport LPC before the merger into GMLPC in 2016. Peter is the chairman of the Primary Care Network sub-group and is the community pharmacy lead for the Cheadle PCN network in Stockport, he is the chairman of the contract applications sub-group and is a member of the Governance sub-group.
Peter is the GMLPC representative at the Greater Manchester Medicines Management Group (GMMMG) and represents LPCs in the North of England at the Regional Medicines Optimisation Committee (RMOC).
